I Like It--but....September 8, 2010 Neil R. Borodkin(nyack, ny) This my first GPS so I little to compare it to, but while the voice is clear, the volume could definitely be louder.
Appears easy to use.
Factory RefurbishedSeptember 8, 2010 Jeff Stefani(phoenix , arizona) So for anyone wondering about buying a Factory Refurbished Nuvi 265wt Let me just say there is no need to worry here was what you do 1st keep your e-mail reciept from amazon then call Garmin at 1-800-800-1200 select product support let them know you you like to register your product and they will walk you through the rest no problem. enough said.
One other thing I should mention is that if you have a newer vechicle that has bluethooth them save yourself a couple of bucks and get the Nuvi255 instead.
Not for the uninitiatedSeptember 7, 2010 JZBklyn(New York City) This is my first GPS as recommended by a friend, though I have used others in rentals and borrowed. I took it on a long trip where I was driving alone and I found it to be very frustrating at times. While in Durango Colorado it wouldn't find a road that was clearly there. I had to go on Google maps and get there that way. Some of it is not as intuitive as others. It takes me a few different tries to remember how to change states so I can put in a new location in a new state. And I haven't had any trouble with others I have used. And it didn't tell me to make a turn until it was about .3 miles from the turn and I could use a little more of a heads up when I am somewhere unfamiliar. But perhaps I need to use it more and read the manual - which is does not come with and I have yet to find the one for this specific model on their web site. I would have bought a simpler, cheaper one.
Love it!! Well Worth the priceSeptember 7, 2010 Amy Kirk I absolutely love this navi system. I have been using it for almost 2 months and it is simple to use and does pretty well on the navigation. Sometimes, when you know the direction you are going, you might be able to find a slightly faster route, but usually not by much. I love the traffic feature, it is accurate and simple to understand. I have not used the bluetooth portion yet, not had a reason/chance to do any updates, so cannot comment on that. I like the feature which lets you save your own google map onto the system. From all of the navi's I have used and seen, this is the best one yet.
Generally happySeptember 7, 2010 Thomas Scott(Fort Collins, CO United States) I got this after using a Garmin in Europe. Oddly, it was cheaper to buy another unit than upgrade the Nuvi I bought in France to have US maps. The product works like most GPS devices, it will get you where you want to go along a sensible route. If you know the area you might be able to find a better route but then again why would you us the GPS if you already know how to get there? My only complaint is the touch screen is not very sensitive or accurate and is a bit slow to respond. You might have to back space and re-type part of a word if you are not careful. I don't view this as a major fault, just an awareness.
