3 out of 5 stars BlueAnt F4   August 15, 2010

I recently purchased a BlueAnt F4 Interphone and returned from a long road trip. Here are my impressions:

The audio was very good for receiving the instructions from my Bluetooth connected Garmin GPS.

A full charge of the unit will last longer than most riders will want to be in the saddle. I rode for twelve hours and it was still going strong.

The helmet mounting using sticky-backed Velcro lasted less than a day. Now that I'm home, I'll have to figure out a better way to mount the speakers so they'll stay put without coming loose every time you take the helmet off.

The volume of the unit when I was listening to XM Radio was completely inadequate and I could not raise the volume any higher. The combination of wind/road/helmet noise at any speed over about 55 mph made the radio unintellible.

Telephone calls using the device is a work in progress. I could hear the audio from incoming calls well. However, my listener complained that my voice was very garbled. This may well be due to mike placement and I need to experient more with this.

5 out of 5 stars Great Product - Better than expected   August 10, 2010

Just got back from 16 days in Pacific Northwest and the Blue Ant F4 Stereo intercom headsets worked even better than advertised. Link up between two sets, iPods, and separate phones took a couple of minutes to get straight but the results were great. Better amplifiers and endurance (10 hours plus for 13 of 16 days with nightly recharges)than in the original Blue Ant sets. Range around 1000 feet or loss of line of sight.

These work better than I could have expected. Plenty loud and very clear. When using the phone, the other person doesn't even realize I am on a motorcycle
